1+1 shows both the joy and the difficulties of being together in everyday life. What happens when love creates an addiction? Or when relationships unravel and feel irreparable?
Based on the five sub-themes; help, compassion, boundary setting, community and conflict 1+1 is created. We experience these five themes as important components in both the vulnerability and the joy in our relationships.
The performance is an interactive performance where the audience are asked to help us with everything from lighting to rigging. By putting ourselves in situations where we need help to be able to continue the performance, we are dependent on their commitment, their trust and their help. How we receive help will also affect how the performance develops and is experienced.
